Mission and Vision:
Oasis transforms the lives of queer youth by creating a safe place to learn, connect, and thrive. Oasis envisions a world in which queer youth are valued in the community as strong, creative leaders.

Oasis is the only drop-in and support center dedicated to the needs of LGBTQ youth ages 14-24 in Pierce County. We are a youth-adult partnership in which youth and adults come together for shared teaching learning and action!

Oasis is fiscally sponsored by the Pierce County AIDS Foundation.

Oasis is committed to creating a safe, affirming space for LGBTQ youth to be proud of who they are with the encouragement they need to become healthy, productive and fully participating members of the community. Supported by a team of dozens of staff and volunteers, Oasis offers an amazing array of activities to more than 500 youth annually.

Oasis produces activities, programming and advocacy that:
  • Supports and empowers youth
  • Creates healthy community
  • Provides essential resources
  • Promotes cultural diversity
  • Advocates for civil rights
